Description

For this consentful interface, I inform the users about the upcoming content and usage of camera and facial recognition. And then I provided choices for users to choose based on their free will. During the usage of experimental camera, the users will also be able to terminate the usage of program whennever they want.

Design Process

I had already had a really clear mind and flow in my mind, when I read the requirement of the assignment. Thus, I decided to draw the flowchart and complete a rough interface in Figma to provide a base for future coding.

Reflection

After careful reading Building Consentful Tech, I recognized the important role of providing users' ability to retract their decision and terminate the process/program that they are currently experiencing/using.

For this assignment, I also implement the ability to terminate and stop whenever and whatever the users want during the whole process. Since this program does not have any alternative choice at this moment, the users will experience a loop of choices for the user experience. Althought it will not be perfect, the users still be able to make choice based on their free wish without being forcing to make the one.
On the other hand, I also inform the users what type of data and device will be accessed for the following process without actually telling them the whole experience. Therefore, I sincerely informed the users and still kept the overall suprising camera and program experience in the whole process.
